HOW LIVE AIS WORKS: AISStream blocks direct browser connections by design (their security rule). So your free Cloudflare site runs a small server function that holds the AISStream socket and collects vessels in the Egyptian corridor every 2 minutes. This page reads them over a simple secure link. Your API key stays on the server, never exposed. If you open this file directly on your laptop (not via the Netlify URL), live AIS is unavailable — use ＋ ADD VESSEL instead, which works anywhere.
