HOW LIVE AIS WORKS:
AISStream blocks direct browser connections by design. Your Cloudflare Pages site runs a
worker function (_worker.js) that holds the AIS socket and collects
vessels in the Egyptian corridor. This page reads them over a secure link, so the API key stays on the
server and is never exposed. If you open this file directly from your laptop instead of the
pages.dev URL, live AIS is unavailable — use ＋ ADD VESSEL, which works anywhere.
